This Privacy Policy explains how TreeBidz LLC ("TreeBidz," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use treebidz.com and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you request tree service bids, apply to join as a provider, or contact us, we collect the information you submit. This may include:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, and phone number;
- Property information, including the address or location of the tree work and details or photos of your project;
- Provider business information, such as company name, service area, credentials, and insurance status (for tree service professionals who apply);
- Any other information you choose to include in messages to us.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Service, we and our analytics providers automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, approximate location, and dates and times of access. This information is collected using cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and understand how it is used. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and usage trends; it may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and activity on the Service. You can review Google's practices at policies.google.com/privacy and opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We provide a cookie consent banner that lets you accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie settings available on our site.

How We Use Your Information
- To connect homeowners with tree service providers and deliver bid requests;
- To operate, maintain, improve, and secure the Service;
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- To communicate with you about your requests and the Service;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
How We Share Your Information
With tree service providers. When you submit a bid request, we share with participating tree service providers the details needed to prepare a bid: the description and photos of the work, the property type and access information, and the general location of the job (city, state, and ZIP code). We do not share your name, phone number, email address, or street address at this stage. Before you accept a bid, providers communicate with you through in-platform messaging only.
When you accept a bid. Once you accept a bid, we release your full name, phone number, email address, and service address to that provider only, so the work can be scheduled and performed. Providers whose bids you did not accept never receive your contact information. Sharing this information at the point of acceptance is a core function of the Service.
With service providers that support us. We use trusted third parties to operate the Service, including form processing (Formspree), website hosting (Netlify), and analytics (Google Analytics). These providers process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TreeBidz, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If TreeBidz is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Regarding "sale" and "sharing." We do not sell your personal information for money. However, because we share the information in your bid requests with tree service providers in order to deliver the Service, certain state privacy laws may treat this disclosure as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Where those laws apply, you have the right to opt out — see "Your State Privacy Rights" below, or contact us.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@treebidz.com.
- Marketing communications. If you receive promotional emails from us, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email or by contacting us.
- Cookies and analytics. You may manage cookies through your browser and opt out of Google Analytics as described above.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Your State Privacy Rights
Michigan residents. Michigan does not currently have a comprehensive consumer data privacy law. Regardless, we honor requests from Michigan residents to access, correct, or delete their personal information. Michigan's Identity Theft Protection Act governs how certain personal data is handled and how affected individuals are notified in the event of a security breach; we will provide any notice required by law if such an event affects your information.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request access to, deletion of, or correction of that information; and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. The categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers (such as name, email, phone, and address), internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, and visual information (photos you upload). We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise your rights, or to opt out of any "sharing" as defined by California law, email info@treebidz.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Residents of other states. If you live in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, the Service does not currently respond to them.
Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
